The Statbot: What do Louis Gray, Thomas Hawk, Duncan Riley, Cyndy and Mona talk about on FriendFeed?

  • Mona N. · 1 year ago
um, should I be concerned my vocab seems VERY limited? LOL!!

I LOVE the huge FriendFeed in the middle of Louis'. I also noticed his name is bigger than my husband's, although I assume that's because I also contribute regularly to the LouisGrayFacts room and that would factor in somewhat, wouldn't it?

Definitely would - this one, afterall, is just a non-intelligent word count. There's no Jason room, no? ;)

    Where's Scoble ...
  • Kevin Bondelli · 1 year ago
This is definitely cool. I second the request for Scoble.

I didn't do Scoble this time 'coz the FF API was throwing an encoding error when I tried to get Scoble's comments. Will get 'round it for round two (due Monday)

    This is very good.

How about a semantic extension so we can see what words go with what other words (e.g. are the Friendfeed words associated more positive than those associated with Twitter, or vice versa). Is that possible?

Haha, I like Mona's huge "LOL" in the middle. This was a great post!

Be interesting to see what the clouds look like for the same people in a week's time.

Also, lots of people seem to use the word one way more than I expected. I haven’t even consciously encountered the word yet - anyone who can shed light on this?

    Thanks and Regards

I doubt FriendFeed will catch on quite like Twitter has...

Very cool visualization, very cool to see what kind of words and speech patterns early adopters use vs the more casual user.
